The end of THIS blog.

As I am clearly unable to keep up with blogging (which is one of my least favorite things to do), I choose to end this blog. But, I have created a new site (http://dphone.palib.info/) and a forum for all thing DPhone. (http://www.dphone.fpb1.com). PLEASE NO SPAMMING!!!!!!

Thanks to all who support me and for those who will put up with my lack of information about DPhone or any other project I've been working on. Goodbye! ;)

Break-through discovered on DS hardware!!

Words can't describe my emotions right now! I found a way to read the DS'd touch screen as a multi-touch screen!! This is awesome! I already made a demo of the pinching feature from iPhone where you actually use two fingers to zoom in on the picture. Absolutely astonishing how this little handheld console can be evolved into something so powerful!

I think a demo may be coming!

I'm thinking about releasing a public release of this project by October 31. Keep in mind that this release would have maybe two or three features missing, though. Please tell me if you'd like for me to wait until all the features are in or if I should go ahead and release an early version. I may even have a beta before the release also.

(Thanks to Mike5424 for the note on a typing error.)

Well, I thought so...

Regarding my last post, it will be longer for the map viewer because I found a bug in the program. Sorry, but I'm working as best I can to get it out and get the map viewer working. Thanks for your cooperation.

Map Viewer = Almost done! :D

In about 30 minutes, I should have the map viewer complete! Just thought I'd drop that by everyone. Well, back to it!

Icons, icons, icons...

Right now, I would just like to fill you all in on what I'm doing as of the moment. I'm working on customizable icons for the GUI. Obviously, the project would get dull in looks if it wasn't specified for you, personally. Any thoughts? I'd love to hear.... Thanks again, Hillbilly.

Some Unfortunate News...

It appears as though my life is getting a little busier and so with that note, I would like to say that DPhone's progress will slow down a bit. Please do not just forget about this project though. I never would like to quit something like this. Thank you all for your cooperation.

I'm back, I'm back...

My internet was down for a week or so, so I was unable to find the resources I needed to complete or work on the map viewer so I started on the image viewer. Although It still needed some online resources that I couldn't get. But, I'm back now so I can work on some things and get it running again! :)

A concept... Do you like?

I was deciding on a layout for the maps function and got something along the lines of this. Tell me if you like the idea and layout or not. Also tell me if you want any special features in this map viewer. Thank you, Hillbilly

Maps it is then, ehh?

So is this what you want me to put into my project next then? Any suggestions about what you would like for the maps function to look like? What it should do? Thanks!

Sound Support Added to DPhone (.raw)

Yesterday I got carried away and added sound support to DPhone for the *.raw format. I am now working on getting out a few kinks in the video functions.

Work-Around Found and News on DPhone!!

FINALLY, after about 3 or so months, I have got a work-around to my situation with bootlib and aslib and am able to work on DPhone again! Also, today I added Video Support! O.o This was done using Spinal's movie player. Later, I will release some new screenshots and maybe a video of... well the video function.

Taking a Break?

Apparently the author of bootlib decided to take a break because he has yet to help me with my problems... I'm going to try a couple of things.

Thursday, July 10, 2008

Soon there will be a work-around!!

As the title appropriately states, I have contacted the author of bootlib and he has made a new version of bootlib to work with palib! So now after I iron out a few kinks, I will be starting more progress on DPhone again. :)

Project Description: DSOperator

Another operating system for the DS but this one's definitely not my main priority right now, DPhone is. I was mainly doing this project to test things out for DPhone since I could go no further because of an error (*ugh*), but I just kept going and soon I had an alpha version. I have include two screen-shots one is the main menu and notice there is customizable backgrounds. (I didn't have the time to make a different background so I used the one from DPhone as you can see from the screen-shots of it) And the other is of the file-browser, which is still being developed. It will probably be scrolled by the stylus and to open a file or folder just tap it wherever it is on the screen. Sounds have been implemented at this point and a notification menu has been put in to tell different messages according to what is being used by the user at that time.

NOTE : This project was originally called DSOS but I found out that someone else was already developing a project with that name so in the voting section, it is named DSOS and I can't change it now since people have voted already.
Thanks, Hillbilly

Later....

I'll be posting some information about my other two projects soon.
Until then, Hillbilly

These are some screen shots of my project "DPhone" ,one, when it had a bug. (It thought that "bg.bmp" was a directory on my card) That was before a major error though that I'm working on getting out. But here's the screenie. (I have included the splash screens, and the keyboard also as an extra O.o )
